The University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ - Fort Smith will host its second blood drive of the semester from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. March 31-April 1 in the Reynolds Room of the Smith-Pendergraft Campus Center.

 

The blood drive, which is sponsored by the ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ Student Activities Office, is free and open to the public, and donors will receive a free T-shirt and health screening.

 

ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ coordinates four blood drives annually between September and April, with two each semester. The blood is given to the ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ Blood Institute, who distributes it to 14 hospitals in western ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´, including Sparks Health System and Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith.

 

Appointments for the blood drive may be made by calling 479-788-7697, by emailing studentactivitiesFREEuafsor by signing up at a table in the Campus Center hallway beginning March 17. Walk-ins are also welcome.
